Saturday Enrichment Academy - Saturdays at 9:30 am

Give your child(ren) a powerful edge in English Language Arts (ELA) and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). In this 3-hour fun experience, instructional coaches will use creative ways to meet participants' learning needs and styles to promote academic acceleration. Refreshments will be provided. Targeted learning levels: Grades 1-3.

Mentoring Program

Black Male Teachers College (BMTC) STEAM (Oct. 5 - Nov. 23)

The 8-week program consists of workshops, programming, and activities that will focus on strategies to help young boys succeed in school and life, such as:

• Group Mentoring (What it Means to Be Black?)

• One-on-One mentoring (What it Means to Be a Man?

• Field trips (Explore and Examine Black History, Culture, STEM and STEAM Pioneers & Innovators)

• Hands-on activities (College Preparation i.e., PSAT, prerequisites for secondary education)

• Educational workshops (Exploring Black Male STEM and STEAM Teachers, Exploring the Mental Health of Black Boys)
