School Data

STAR Rating

The STAR rating designations are determined by a combination of academic and school quality indicators. These indicators differentiate and identify schools to ensure that all schools meet all students' needs. The STAR rating is an overall school rating, with academic achievement accounting for 65% of the scoring. The STAR rating is on a scale of 1 to 5, with one being the lowest and five being the highest.

Free and Reduced Price Lunch

Free and reduced-price lunch (FRPL) means the national school lunch program. This federally assisted lunch program has existed since 1946. It has provided low-cost or free lunches to economically disadvantaged public school students whose families can show they are near or below the poverty level.

Academic Achievement

The academic achievement indicator is a combination of the percent of students scoring “proficient” or higher on state tests in math and English language arts in FY'24.

Academic Progress

The academic progress indicator consists of multiple academic measures. Schools are measured on the growth of students over time on math and English language arts state tests, and on earning credit for a well-rounded curriculum.

HS Graduation Rate & Post-Secondary Readiness

The high school graduation rate measures the performance of students in a school who graduate with a high school diploma. This indicator comprises two measures of a cohort of ninth-grade students graduating within four years or five years, respectively. The Postsecondary Readiness Success indicator measures the performance of students on track for graduation and those who have completed high school coursework along with a rigorous or comprehensive co-curricular standard. School points comprise a school’s percentage of 9th-grade students earning at least four credits in required coursework and the percentage of graduating or exiting students achieving a rigorous or comprehensive co-curricular standard.

The districtwide demographics reflect the breakdown of the total student body across all 17 District Two schools, categorized by racial groups.
